Working with your Adhesive

The secret of being an expert lash artist is to know your tools well.

How your tweezer, adhesive, and many others work.

Without the right knowledge you won`t be able to provide a 100% quality job.

I had, and still many lash artists have issue with the adhesive in different time of the year as the weather is not our best friend especially during summer and winter time.

I see on many beauty groups that lash technicians are blaming the glue when it does not work the way it should be ,and they instantly tend to ask for a better glue recommendation, instead of finding out the route cause for the glue not performing

What is the secret of the Adhesive?

Let me tell you how the adhesive work in different circumstances .

If the weather is too hot with high humidity our adhesive will dry faster, hence when you brush the lashes most of the fans will come off.

Try to use air condition but do not use the one with the fan , use dehumidifier to low down the humidity .

If you don't have a dehumidifier or air-conditioning you can manage with out them by getting a slower glue . If you usually work with the 0.5 sec glue then get 1,5-2 sec and it will have the same outcome as with the previous one, because your glue is bonding faster due to the increased temperature. Don`t forget, you won`t need any speed up solution or booster by this process! Make sure the lash surface is well prepared and you will not going to have any issue with the outcome. If your adhesive still quite fast than use a micro drop by each of your lash fan and change your glue drop as often as you can ,recommended in every 10-15 min .

What if the weather is too cold and the humidity is too low.

Everything is going to be opposite, our glue will bond slower than usual.

So what do we need to do ?We need to boost it up!!

Thanks for so many lash companies there are a lot of booster liquids on the market. I prefer to use Glue Aid and Pre Treatment solution from www.iamlashpro.com as these products have one of the highest quality on the market.

Prep the natural lashes with a good cleaning and use glue aid on the lash strip 1-1.5 mm further from the base so you can avoid your lash fans from closing up. Do not use micro drop in this circumstances as the glue is curing slower ,and it can leak into our clients eyes or causing more stickies.

If our adhesive still won`t cure fast enough than use booster on the natural lashes as well ( I know many experts use almost every time, but I try to do not use too much chemicals around the eye if I don`t have to ) .
